My STORY
I was a child of divorce.
That experience shaped everything that came after. I know what it feels like to be caught in the middle. I know how much kids need someone in their corner.
That's why I became a family law attorney. And that's why, for 35 years, I've dedicated my life's work to protecting parents and children going through the hardest times of their lives.

EXPERIENCE

My experience runs deep, and it runs wide.
I've been a divorce attorney my entire career—35 years practicing family law in Cuyahoga County. I've handled hundreds of cases. Divorce. Custody. Child support. Domestic violence. I'm even trained in collaborative divorce.
I've been in front of the bench, representing families. Behind the bench, as a juvenile court magistrate and mayor's court magistrate. And at the side of children, as a Guardian ad Litem in both Juvenile Court and Domestic Relations Court.
I've seen almost every kind of situation. I know what families go through. I know how tough it can be. And I've spent my career helping people find light at the end of the tunnel.

PUBLIC SERVICE
Nearly 15 years on County Council.
I've brought those same values to public service—protecting families and children, restoring trust, fighting for what's right.
Ethics and Integrity. I led the establishment of the Inspector General's office and passed the strongest ethics reforms in Ohio. When I came to County Council, the government was under scrutiny. I helped restore public trust through transparency and accountability.
Protecting Children. I chair the Education Committee. I've invested in early childhood programs, literacy initiatives, and resources for kids experiencing trauma. We've got to get them early—get the little kiddos the support they need.
Justice Reform. I've championed responsible criminal justice reform, including establishing a diversion center and working with Juvenile Court to keep young people from getting stuck in the system.
Court Oversight. I've overseen the Domestic Relations Court's budget, ensuring it has the resources to serve families well.

DEMOCRATIC
VIEWS
I've been a Democrat my entire adult life.
As soon as I could walk and knock on doors, I was doing it—for candidates up and down the ballot. I've served as city leader for South Euclid, central committee member, and executive committee member. This party is my home.
If I had to name one quality that defines a Democrat, it's empathy. Understanding that everybody is going through something. That everybody deserves a fair shot—and sometimes needs to be lifted up.
I care about people. I care about justice. I care about equality. I've supported diversity my entire career, because we are stronger together.
These values aren't a label I put on to win an election. They're who I am. They're who I've always been.
